This is what happen when you leave a bike chained to a tree during 60 years!


t's a mystery that's been growing in the
woods of Washington state for more than a
half-century.
It's a child's bike, stuck in a tree on Vashon
Island. A few feet off the ground, the rusty
bike is embedded in the massive tree.
But how did it get there? That's a topic of
much debate and local speculation.
"A soldier had left the bike there before
going off to war," said Jack Chambers, a
Vashon Island resident.
"The guy who put it there is still kicking.
He was a little kid 50 years ago. Didn't like
the bike, so he just stuck it in a sapling and
the tree just grew over it," said Mary Kay
Rauna, another resident.
There's even been a book about the bike
in the tree, written by Pulitzer Prize-
winning cartoonist and author Berkeley
Breathed. It's called, Red Ranger Came
Calling.

Sonic Wind rocket car eyes land speed record at 2000 mph

Here is great news for speed lovers, who crave to move at the speed of a bullet. A Californian man has created a rocket car, which he claims can move at a speed of almost 2000 mph. Yes, you read it right! The land rocket vehicle, christened Sonic Wind, will move at very high speeds and leave everyone wheezing. British-designed Thrust SSC holds the current land speed record that stands at 763.025 mph or 1227.986 km/h, which was set in the year 1997. The craving to cross the 1000 mph or 1609.344 km/h mark in the coming years has been shown by two teams. One is the successor of thrust named Bloodhound SSC and the other is Aussie Invader 5R. But, for Waldo Stakes, 1000 mph was not enough and he created a land rocket that can touch a whooping speed of 2000 mph or 3218.688 km/h. But, there is no stopping for Waldo. Chicago 2011: Lexus CT 200h by Five Axis sneaks into the Windy City

Yes, it is indeed a bit odd that Lexus chose to show off a tuned version of its CT 200h hatchback at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show. Generally speaking, such machines are reserved for events more along the lines of the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Still, here we are in the Windy City and there's this Five Axis-tuned hybrid on the stage; we couldn't help but shoot it for your viewing pleasure.
