“Big Rig Jig” Giant Truck Sculpture

Big Rig Jig, creative sculpture designed by Mike Ross, is built from two repurposed 18-wheeler tanker trucks
The sculpture utilizes two decommissioned trucks, referencing a global oil industry at the nexus of our world’s political, social, and environmental systems. By repurposing these symbolically rich objects, the artist conveys his admiration for and anxiety over humanity’s power.

Yes, it is indeed a bit odd that Lexus chose to show off a tuned version of its CT 200h hatchback at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show. Generally speaking, such machines are reserved for events more along the lines of the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Still, here we are in the Windy City and there's this Five Axis-tuned hybrid on the stage; we couldn't help but shoot it for your viewing pleasure. In addition to the custom widebody kit, this CT 200h wears a unique coat of paint and features a lowered suspension courtesy of Tein along with upgraded brakes from Stoptech. Want to see more? Well, as outrageous as it sounds….it’s a real thing! All around the world, there have been airplanes converted into buildings….and they are workable, livable, hospitable places. They may look odd from the outside, but they meet their intended purpose at the end of the day.
