A Concept For Future Aircraft

Image
Shabtai Hirshberg is an innovator who has done a great work in making up a design and subsequently writing a thesis over future commercial aircraft. He has intelligently considered the design, comfort, fuel saving and greener environment for the future aircraft concept. According to current predictions we will be having a 100% increase in flights by the end of 2030. Airlines are also well aware of the rising prices of fuel, and according to an estimate most of them will cut back the luxuries and increase passenger capacities since the business is becoming less profitable. The new designed Shabtai Hirshberg commercial plane fits perfect in these circumstances since it reduces the fuel cost by 30%. This newly designed aircraft can also be landed on water as well as land. The streamlined shaped body and great efficiency of features makes it a brilliant choice for future. The designer has ambitiously worked with aeronautical engineers to come up with optimized use of technology, material,

Bugatti Gangloff Concept

Image
Today we want to show you amazing concept car created by Polish designer PaweÅ‚ Czyżewski. The Bugatti Gangloff Concept is a design study of a sleek supercar inspired by the 1938 Type 57 SC Atalante Coupe one-off. The name Gangloff is from the French coach-builder that created the Type 57 SC Atalante. As you can see from features like the size air intakes and the horsehoe grille, the car also brings in cues from the Veyron. “In times of commercial trash and plastic it is hard to see something that has a soul and is able to squeeze out a positive mark on the heart,” Czyzewski said about the car. via: http://www.beautifullife.info

1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am

Image
The second generation debut for the 1970 model year was delayed until February 26, 1970, because of tooling and engineering problems; thus, its popular designation as a 1970½ model, while leftover 1969s were listed in early Pontiac literature without a model-year identification. Replacing the "Coke bottle" styling was a more "swoopy" body style, with the top of the rear window line going almost straight down to the lip of the trunk lid—a look that was to epitomize F-body styling for the longest period during the Firebird's lifetime. The new design was initially characterized with a large C-pillar, until 1975 when the rear window was enlarged. There were two Ram Air 400 cu in (6.6 L) engines for 1970: the 335 hp (250 kW) Ram Air III (366 hp (273 kW) in GTO) and the 345 hp (257 kW) Ram Air IV (370 hp (280 kW) in GTO) that were carried over from 1969. The difference between the GTO and Firebird engines was the secondary carburetor linkage which prevented the rear b

KILLER CUSTOMS 66 SUPERNOVA

Image
Ok let’s take a little break from our July drifting fixation and look at a very different type of modified car: the Killer Customs built 1966 Pro Touring style Chevy Nova. Those of you who have been around American cars for the past few decades will know that the big trend in hot rods and street machines for many years has been the Pro Street style. The aim was to take a street car and make it look and perform like a full drag race machine; capable of outrageous 1/4 mile times, but still vaguely street legal. This was the de-facto standard for many, many years in the muscle car world. This all changed though when the Pro Touring style emerged a few years ago. Suddenly people wanted to make their classic American cars handle, accelerate and brake like modern performance machines. They wanted the style of a classic car but with the advantages of 40 years of technological development. A new style was born. Source: http://www.speedhunters.com

1971 Plymouth HEMI Cuda

Image
This car has been revamped, restored from the past. Strengthened muscle car that every American would like to have in your garage. The Plymouth Barracuda is a two-door car that was manufactured by the Plymouth division of the Chrysler Corporation from 1964–1974. The first-generation Barracuda, a fastback A-body coupe based on the Plymouth Valiant, had a distinctive wraparound back glass and was available from 1964–1966. The second-generation 1967–1969 Barracuda, though still Valiant-based, was heavily redesigned. Second-generation A-body cars were available in fastback, notchback, and convertible versions. The 1970–1974 E-body Barracuda, no longer Valiant-based, was available as a coupe and a convertible, both of which were very different from the previous models. The final model year for the Barracuda was 1974. Information is from source: Wikipedia

We have to tell you from the beginning that we are going to talk about a piece of exterior tuning coming from Japan, so expect to see bits and pieces that might not suit everybody’s taste. Getting to the point, we’ll show you what Japanese aftermarket developer Vitt Performance can do for the second-generation Mercedes CLS. The four-door coupe was gifted with a wide body kit, which includes a front bumper with generously-sized air intakes and LED daytime running lights, beefy side skirts and door panels, as well as a rear bumper that includes a diffuser and a quadruple exhaust with oval tips that overlap. Of course, these are all topped by the beefier wheel arches and a boot lid spoiler. The Vitt Performance Mercedes CLS rides on a set of rims that use a five-double spoke design with an extra-wide lip. via: http://www.autoevolution.com

Luxury Osros Floating Island

Image
Designed by an Austrian company the Osros floating island includes six luxury double bedrooms, with space for 12 residents and four staff members. The boat is priced at £3 million. The manufacturers describe the island as an “autonomous power supply based energy system” powered by a noiseless wind energy system. The island also features over 120 m2 of solar panels. Heat recovery from the sea water is used for heating and air conditioning. The company explains: “In the beginning, my goal was to create an exclusive, high-quality hotel chain based on floating platforms. With the progress of the project it became clear that the attractive and unusual concept of Orsos Islands should not be limited to only a selected group of people. Orsos Islands should reach a much broader audience, people with an awareness of modern life and a feeling of responsibility towards the environment.” The Austrian company began construction of the prototype in Germany and Hungary. The company’s goal is to show t

Gran Turismo Creator Picks 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 40 For New Game

Image
For the past 10 years at the SEMA show, Sony, together with the people behind Gran Turismo, has picked a winning design that eventually appears as a playable car in its next version of the popular Gran Turismo video game. This year the winner was this 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 40 hot rod, which was created by David Eckert and his team at Eckert’s Rod & Custom. One of the judges of the unique Gran Turismo award is the game’s creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, a self-confessed gearhead who even enters the odd Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race. He chose Eckert’s hot rod over other notable cars such as the 500-horsepower VW Beetle by APR and 650-horsepower Ford Mustang GT by Mothers, Autosport Dynamics and RTR. Speaking at the SEMA show, which took place last week, Yamauchi said, “We continue to be blown away by the quality of the vehicles that are submitted and are excited to add 1969 Ford Mach 40 to our list of distinguished winners and to the Gran Turismo franchise.” Originally a 1969 Mach

1,320HP Twin Supercharged ’68

Image
In the days before the popularity of pro-touring, gearheads would build muscle cars solely for the drag strip. Known as pro-street, the trend was about taking a car and making it as wild as possible, utilizing mountain-like big-blocks and compressing massive amounts of air down the chambers through the use of a roots-type supercharger, all the while maintaining at least some streetability. The trend took the country by storm and held the title as the thing to do from the late ‘70s through most of the ‘90s. Thankfully, times have changed and now it seems that everyone wants to take corners more than just race in a straight line when it comes to building the street machine of today. However, it’s pleasing to see that there are a few holdouts among us and Mike Ramsey is one of those gentlemen. Mike’s been restoring classic Camaros and Novas for years but until now, never undertook a Chevelle project. It was his wife actually, who convinced him to find a ’68 Chevelle to build for her as sh

After a grueling two-year build process, the final result is every bit as nice as prevailing stereotypes might suggest, and Bob's Trans Am is one impressive specimen of homebuilt engineering. It boasts a 575hp LS small-block, variable valve timing, a paddle-shifted 4L80E overdrive, a hydroformed Detroit Speed front subframe assembly, a four-link rear suspension, six-piston Baer clamps, and fat 345/30R19 rear meats. Despite a lawsuit between Steve Saleen and Saleen Performance Vehicles, the new 2010 Saleen 435S Ford Mustang GT will have a variety of new performance parts. Right now there is a pending lawsuit between Steve Saleen and MJ Acquisitions, who now own Saleen Performance Vehicles, in which Steve Saleen does not want his name used anymore for future vehicles. SRT Barracuda Gets Rendered

Image
Car and Driver, with the help of rendering guru John Sibal, have come up with what they say is an accurate representation of a new SRT-branded Barracuda due on the shelves in 2015. The design of Car and Driver‘s SRT Barracuda is said to be based on insider information and informed guesswork. Chrysler are in the process of developing an all new rear-wheel drive platform, one it can share with its Fiat-owned partner companies like Lancia and Alfa Romeo. The SRT Barracuda is to be the first vehicle to use this new architecture. The 2015 SRT Barracuda will be similar in size to the current Ford Mustang, making it both smaller and lighter than the Challenger. Engine choices could include fuel economical options, like the new 2.4 litre Tigershark inline four-cylinder, mid-range engines like the Chrysler 3.6 litre V6, and performance-orientated but thirsty engines like the venerable Hemi 5.7 litre V8. http://www.diseno-art.com
