BMW M6 F13 by Risden Engineering

Image
BMW M6 tends to be more of a super GT than a sports car, but it is an M car after all, and has the potential to become a serious track car. Risden Engineering sees this potential and is working on a program that turns the M6 into what they refer to as a ‘streetable track car’. The idea is that the car remains properly docile for street use, and when you take it to the race track all that racing components added to it will result in greater performance. And there is quite a bit of racing bits and bobs fitted to this car. The Risden R6 package includes a fixed wing and a retractable wing, and also built in cooling features and new vent openings for the brakes and engine. The M6 has also been on a diet and has lost a couple of stones. A fully adjustable suspension, 4 point roll bar, and a new brake system have also been added, but there is no plan for any performance upgrade. That is fine, of course, as the standard car comes with 560 horsepower. source: motorward.com

SSP’s Vossen Wheel-fitted Nissan GT-R is a really mean machine

Image
The Nissan GT-R is one of the most notable supercars to have ever come out of Japan. Even though the vehicle comes with a more than admirable twin-turbo 3.8L V6 engine with various states of tune allowing it to output anything between 480 hp and 545 hp (depending on the generation of the vehicle), the model sadly cannot even be slotted in the same league as the Lambos and the Ferraris. The reason behind this lack of status is quite simple too- the Nissan GT-R just doesn’t come with the kind of flamboyant bits and cabin luxuries that set performance-based “luxury” supercars apart from the regular old fast and furious kinds. However, Texas-based automobile tuner and maintenance experts South Side Performance has really done an outstanding job at taking the profile of the otherwise modest supercar up a few notches. The South Side Performance Nissan GT-R comes with new exterior fittings like a custom exhaust, a brand new diffuser and a swanky new splitter. The vehicle has also been given a

While this is the all new 2013 model, the 2012 model has already been victorious around the world. It has participated in the SUPER GT series, Super Taikyu, British GT Championship and the GT Cup after been entered by NDDP RACING. By recording all the data from these races, Nismo engineers have been able to study the numbers to make this 2013 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 one of the best sports car to date.Several aspects of the car have been improved, including the engine performance, aerodynamics, braking ability and suspension setup. Under the hood is new camshaft timing, while the exterior modifications consist of canards added to the front, larger fender louvers and adjustments to the rear wing to optimize the airflow. After this tuning, the Nissan GTR GT3 is more balanced and has increased downforce to improve the overall driveability. This specific

Scion Unveils 600-HP, Turbocharged FR-S Drift Car in Detroit

Image
The 2013 Scion FR-S is supposed to provide an experience like that of the 1980s rear-drive Toyota Corolla, which just so happens to be popular among drifters. (Those fond of oversteer, not vagabonds.) Scion is apparently hoping the FR-S will be subject to the same fondness, so it helped the cause along by creating the drift-ready version that was shown at the 2012 Detroit auto show. The FR-S’s 2.0-liter boxer-four has been turbocharged to produce 600 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque—increases of 400 hp and 349 lb-ft over stock. That ought to do it, but just to be safe Scion also gutted the car, lightening it by roughly 300 pounds for drift duty. Why are such insane power numbers necessary? Because getting sideways and staying there requires tire-frying horsepower. Scion Racing partnered with Greddy to create the FR-S specifically for Formula Drift competition, where it will replace the Scion tC as drifter Ken Gushi’s ride of choice. This car’s existence will certainly reignite speculation of

Toyota FT-86

Image
TMC seeks to develop the ultimate earth-conscious environmentally-considerate vehicle with a focus on hybrid technologies without losing sight of the appeal of cars themselves or the joy of driving. Over the past several years, the need has been rising for motor vehicles that take into consideration global warming and other environmental issues, while there has also been concern that there have been too few new sports cars that make the heart beat faster and that the time is right for a new generation of sports cars. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 415km/h

Image
Veyron 16.4 Super Sport hit 267.81 mph, breaking the previous world speed record for a production car.  The previous record was 256 mph set by a Shelby SSC Ultimate Aero in 2007. It does 0–96 km/h (60 mph) in 2.46 seconds. To achieve this feet, Bugatti bumped the horsepower from 1001hp to 1200hp. Four enlarged turbochargers and bigger intercoolers were used to boost the power of the 16-cylinder engine, and the chassis was extensively redesigned to maintain safety at extreme speed – thanks to slightly raised main-spring travel, stronger stabilisers, and new shock absorbers with a complex architecture originally developed for racing cars. 30 will be produced although customer cars will be electronically limited to 257.90 mph because of tire safety concerns. The first five Super Sports to come off the production line will constitute a special series of their own, with the same configuration as the landspeed record car.

First One-piece Carbon Fiber Wheel by Carbon Revolution

Image
What seemed impossible until now has just become possible, thanks to a privately owned company based in Australia, named Carbon Revolution. Their latest achievement, dubbed the CR9, is the first set of one-piece carbon fiber rims ever manufactured. The extensive project was possible thanks to a whole congregation of specialists, engineers and top builders. Although aluminum is considered one of the lightest materials to craft wheels from, these carbon fiber ones are actually 40 to 50% lighter than their metallic counterparts. They have actually exceeded all laboratory and track tests and let’s also add that the OEM standards are an easy-catch for these wheels. Just because they’re so much lighter, they provide more control over the car, in terms of ride, braking and steering responsiveness. The one-piece construction of the wheels is also supported by a collection of state of the art alloys used in aerospace engineering. At first, the CR9 was merely a project, an independent research a

ABT Sportline Audi R8 Spyder GTS

Image
Abt Sportline is a pretty capable and successful tuner that specializes in Audi products that has dropped out of public view recently. In hoping to get back in the game they came to the 2011 Geneva Motor Show with a tuned version of the Ingolstadt’s flagship Audi R8 V10 Spyder.Called the ABT R8 GTS, the German mid engined supercar gained a considerable performance upgrade which takes it up to 620 horsepower. It’s a rare combination to get. Also, the 19 or 20 inch custom ABT wheels painted the same two tone red and black finish do help with the looks.I’m not sure the Abt Sportline brand is now saved but their version of the Audi R8 V10 Spyder is definitely an impressive looking machine. source: automotorblog.com

Though production volume isn’t as high as its larger peers, KICHERER is still able to create “head turning” editions like the new Supercharged GT. Outfitted with a bass-mouth like grille, the newest Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG in KICHERER’s line-up bears some resemblance to the Fisker Karma, but its all Mercedes underneath the bonnet.
