Khan Works Its Magic On The Lamborghini Aventador

Image
Talk about a tuner who gets its work right, on every occasion on any car, and the first name that might pop up in your mind would be Khan Design. Yes, the UK-based tuner and interior specialist has unveiled its latest masterpiece – not an SUV this time, but a full blown Lamborghini Aventador. If the supercar was already one worth dying for, Khan has just come up with even more reasons for you to do so! Lamborghini Rosso Red – that’s what they call the brilliant red finish that goes just too well with the Khan Pirelli wheels. The front is held together by a pair of 20-inch wheels, while the back runs on a pair of 21-inches. Customers have been spoilt for choice with the wheels arriving in two shades of grey. If the outside looks swanky enough, the interior gets even better. The seats have been done in accordance with Khan’s liking in modern quilted Nappa leather. The steering wheel, along with portions of the dash have been smothered in plush Alcantara. On the whole, Khan, as always, ha

Render: Neo-Modern GWA 300 SLC Roadster

Image
Gullwing America who specialize in tuning the Mercedes-Benz 300SL have planned a new project that was ordered by a customer from Europe. The customer requested an exclusive one off sports car design. To achieve this, the GWA team selected a 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS Roadster (R-197) as the base for their project. The end result will be a 21st century 300 SLC, a convertible roadster with a removable hard top. GWA has decided to create a handmade aluminum body, which will be modeled on the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SC (W-188), only 92 of which were ever produced. The body will receive some modern touches including changing the position of the pop-out rear spoiler and modernizing the headlights with LED’s. The grille was redesigned with an assertive, yet elegant, slant and illuminated emblem on the top.

The wheels are then finished in a stain smoke finish to complement the white bodywork. Forgiato then instructed Dirk Abinakad for a full photoshoot which you can see below in the gallery. Just a recap, the V8 Vantage is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine producing 420bhp while mated to a six speed manual transmission or seven speed Sportshift II.

Image
Creative persons over at Bimmerposts are actively creating renders of the BMW F82 M4 Coupe and one of the latest piece of work is a Photoshop of the BMW 4 Series Concept Coupe shown at Detroit Motor Show, they have managed to create an M4 Coupe out of it. To insist on their accuracy, the front view was said to be 97% accurate by a BMW insider. Both the upcoming M3 sedan and M4 coupe will be powered by a newly developed straight-six gasoline engine featuring two turbochargers developing 450 hp. sourse: gtspirit.com

BMW M8 Supercar Coming in 2016

Image
BMW will likely add a new model to its M-Divison by 2016. The much anticipated M8 will be a 600hp supercar built to coincide with their 100th Anniversary if it debuts in 2016. The reports come direct from M-Division boss Friedrich Nitschke who has alluded to a few cruicial details. Expect the M8 to share the same carbon fiber and aluminum components as the i8 plug-in hybrid which is due to land in 2014. The M8 will be a spiritual successor to the classic BMW M1. Despite sharing many of its components, the powerplant fitted to the BMW M8 will be completely different from that of the i8. The i8 is expected to feature a 1.5 liter 3-cylinder set up aided by an electric motor mounted at the front axle. The i8 should produce a combined output of 349bhp and 405lb ft of torque, whereas the M8 is expected to get a 600bhp twin turbo V8 motor. Speculated performance figures suggest a 0-60mph time of just 3 seconds and a top speed of 200mph. This latest report follows an earlier story we published

Sideswipe Corvette

Image
Even though this Corvette looks extreme we’re sorry to inform you that this car is not for sale. General Motors revealed today a few characters from the Transformers movie, including the Sideswipe Corvette at the Chicago Auto Show. Sideswipe Corvette is based on a Corvette Stingray vision concept car that was redesigned to make it look more futuristic. The car’s body kit was inspired by the Stingray race car that was introduced in 1959 combined with a lot of styling elements from other Corvette generations. Ed Welburn, the vicepresident of General Motors Global Design said that Sideswipe represents an exercise in exploration for the Corvette and the creation team had the freedom to design anything they imaged. The whole project helped the guys from GM Design to push boundries and look at projects from different perspectives. source: fancytuning.com

The 2014 McLaren P1 spits fire

Image
The McLaren P1 will debut in Geneva a little over a month from now. God willing, so will the Ferrari Enzo successor, which would make Geneva 2013 the best auto show ever, as the two sides passive-aggressively trash talk each other in their respective press conferences. Even if the Italians don't cooperate, the P1 will be a headline hog. McLaren knows this, and is keeping the hype fire stoked with a batch of fresh in-house "spy photos" (way to cut out the middleman, guys) and video of racetrack-pattern camouflaged "XP" development prototypes in action. The clip includes gratuitous slo-mo, lots of engine noise, maximum rear wing, and the eternally crowd-pleasing fire-spewing exhaust. Overall, 2013 is a bonanza for enthusiasts, who get new flagship hypercars from McLaren, Ferrari, and Porsche (the 918) in close proximity to each other. It's like the old days. source: roadandtrack.com

Bertone Mantide goes from blush to pale, looks better for it

Image
Love it or loathe it, the Bertone Mantide is one of the most striking automotive designs of the decade, and coupled with the Corvette ZR1's performance, Jason Castriota has created one of the most exclusive supercars in recent memory. The second of ten Mantides has been delivered to its new owner before its official unveiling at the Dubai Auto Show next month, and -- to our eyes -- its all-white paint scheme looks even better than the original red example that debuted earlier this year. Castriota has since left StileBertone and moved back to New York to pursue other endeavors. In addition to tackling the fashion and industrial design world, he's working on a new line of footwear that's expected to be revealed sometime in 2010. While a new set of kicks would be the perfect compliment to the machined aluminum throttle on the angular, LS9-powered coupe, we wouldn't be surprised to see Castriota tackling another automotive project in the future given his penchant for both s

Would a Mustang-based Lincoln look like this?

Image
Designer Josiah LaCalla has taken a stab at what a Ford Mustang-based Lincoln model might look like with the Continental Mark X1 concept. Make no mistake, Ford's luxury arm has made it abundantly clear that it won't be pursuing any new products outside of volume models, which means a flashy halo grand tourer like the one you see here isn't in the cards. LaColla used the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG as a basis for his creation, which explains the long nose, but we certainly don't mind the idea of a rear-wheel drive Lincoln with a cabin pushed to the aft. While we're dreaming, there's certainly nothing stopping us from imagining what's under that lengthy hood. We like the idea of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 pushing the Mark X1 down the road, but how about something a little more inventive? Something like a high-revving, buttery V12 with enough torque to push the contraption well past 200 miles per hour. Dream a little dream, people. News Sourc

DC Design one-off Rolls Royce is up for sale

Image
Indian styling house DC Design created this one-off Rolls Royce four years ago, a car with Enzo-style doors that will surely turn a lot of heads, huge wheels and other styling changes that will make anyone wonder if that’s a Rolls Royce or a Batmobile. The DC Design Rolls Royce looks like the result that you will get by crossing a Nissan 350Z with a Rolls Royce and it was originally created by the Indian-based design firm for a Maharajah for his private collection. Maybe he had some troubles getting used to the Enzo-style doors or maybe he thought it’s too weird for him to drive it but this unique take on Rolls Royce is now up for grabs. The special Rolls Royce by DC Design has been listed for sale by a London-based company at 750,000 Euros ($1,176,000). source: luxatic.com

They’re recently unveiled their latest model, the Melkus RS2000 Black Edition, a four wheel masterpiece with an exciting design and breathtaking performances. The exterior of the car feature a piano lacquer paint finish finished in 6 layers of clearcoat plus a carbon fiber kit. Inside, the vehicle boasts black leather seats Alcantara roof lining and one-of-a-kind door entry sills. There are carbon fiber elements and piano lacquer in the interior as well. The performance of the car is quite stunning, considering that the engine is pretty small. One can order the car equipped with Volkswagen or Opel 2.0-liter turbocharged engines. They can each deliver 300 HP, which are provided to the wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The car also sports a high-tech braking system. In terms of numbers, it reportedly accelerates to 62 mph (100km/h) in 4.5 seconds from a standstill and can re

Mosler willl build just one MT900S Photon per year

Image
There are more and more cars that can be easily placed in the high-performance and exquisiteness category. Definitely one of them is the MT900S Photon, a four wheel masterpiece built by supercar specialists from Mosler in Florida. We’d all love to own one but Mosler has recently announced they will limit the production series of MT900S Photon to just one unit for the whole 2012!! To get you into the world of the MT900S Photon, we need to mention that it’s one of the most light-weight supercars on today’s market. Its weight of less than 2,500 pounds (fuel-included) is so low because of the carbon fiber body panels and the composite chassis. The car gets powered by a 7.0-liter V8 coming from Chevrolet, tuned up to deliver 535 HP. This permits the supercar to reach 62 mph from a standstill in less than three seconds, and a top speed in excess of 200 mph. In terms of looks, the car may seem a bit overage, its design having been used more than a decade ago, but the manufacturer added a few

2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Edition with a V6 Engine

Image
The Chrysler 300 has been among us for some time now, with different options available and engines ranging from 2-liter 4 cylinders to the luxurious 300C powered by a 363 HP 5.7-liter Hemi V8. They’re now introducing a new version of their Luxury Edition, a V6 powered 300. The car is propelled by the 292 HP 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that powers its regular sibling, connected to a 8-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive and optionally 4×4. Just like its bigger brother, it boasts a full-leather interior and a bunch of luxurious extras throughout. Mainly, the V6’s interior is pretty similar to the Hemi version of the 300 Luxury Edition, with extravagant leather treatment for the central console, dashboard, armrest, steering wheel and door panels, plus lovely two-tone Mocachino or black seats, beautifully covered in Nappa leather, featuring double-mode ventilation, double-mode heat-system for both front and rear occupants and 12-way power adjustable front seats. Apart from all

Wheelsandmore Tweaks Aston Martin DBS Carbon

Image
Wheelsandmore, a German tuner of high-end sports cars, set about tuning the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition, but they quickly realized the car is pretty much perfect and there is not much they can do to improve it. Still, they tweaked a few things here and there to make the car even more desirable. First off, they fitted the DBS Carbon with a set of new wheels. It is, after all, what Wheelsandmore does best. The DBS gets a set of 21-inch wheels finished in black to match the exterior color of this limited edition Aston. You can also opt for a version of these wheels with red outer lip and red brake calipers. The wheels are wrapped in Continental Sport Contact 5P, 265/30 front, 325/25 rear. Other changes made to the Aston include fitment of a F1-sport air filter and a new sport exhaust system with high performance catalysts and valve system. Together they give the DBS a total output of 557 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque. The standrd car has about 520 hp and 570 Nm. source: motorward.co

Crashed Ferrari Enzo Emerges As Edo ZXX

Image
You may remember about a year ago an Edo-tuned Ferrari Enzo crashed into the ocean during the 2011 Targa Newfoundland rally. The footage of the incident was too painful to forget. An Enzo is not a car you can just scrap and forget about it. So the owner decided to bring it back to life. Here it is, emerging as an FXX-inspired Enzo, called the ZXX. They have fitted the car with a modified FXX bod kit that differs in places from the original. It also gets new Edo competition wheels, a new exhaust system, and a heavily tuned V12 engine that reportedly makes 950 horsepower. That should make it the most powerful Enzo in the world. It has more HP than the FXX, more than Edo’s own FXX Evo even. They need to be careful with this now. They don’t want to crash it again, especially now that it has so much power. The ZXX also gets a fancy two-tone yellow and white paint job with unique graphics. The cost of repair an tuning remains undisclosed. via Autoblog.nl
