1. While many people around the world are looking for a more sustainable form of building houses, there is a way that has been around for centuries that we can still use today! Take this gorgeous log cabin for example, this log home would be the perfect home for the whole family. The wonderful thing about log homes is that they have so many benefits over conventional dry wall homes. 2. Log homes and cabins are very sustainable, as they are made from renewable materials that come from the Earth. Most of the logs used to build these log homes and cabins come from sustainable tree plantations, where the trees are used for their wood, and then more are planted in their place to grow into more trees for more logs. This is a better way of going about this process, rather than just chopping down any tree, so that we can keep the ancient growth forests alive, with their habitats thriving. 3. Amish Cabin Company, is a log cabin kit building company that provides log cabin kits. The company work

Dog Recued from Ice Trap

Image
You would have always heard that dogs are men’s best friends and there are several examples to prove the fact. However, even humans consider dogs as their best friends. It has been proven once again in an incident that happened in Castle Island in South Boston. A husky was getting drowned in the freezing ice when a fireman rescued her and saved her life. The story of dog rescue is a touching one. The Full Story of Dog Rescue Sylvie is a 13 year old husky who accidentally fell into the ice and was about to lose its life. She went out for her regular morning walk and broke away and fell into the ice. She was about to lose her patience and was already giving up when the help arrived. She was about to believe that she was going to die but the firefighters turned out to be her best friends. They came and rescued her from the ice clogged situation and the dog herself was quite grateful for the same. Her action and expression showed the same and anyone would be able to understand how desperat

This Dog Can Balance Anything On His Head !

Image
6. Hookah Meet Scout, a dog with a very strange talent. Here, Scout manages to balance a two foot high multi-tiered hookah half-filled with water and tangled pipes that probably aren’t helping out with the balance. And you thought your dog was cool because it could roll over and play fetch? He’s like a coffee table that you don’t have to worry about stubbing your toe on in the middle of the night.   5. A Pot What? Were you expecting something else when we asked you, “hey, do you want to see my pothead dog?” This is a family site, get your mind out of the gutter. Maybe this is the same pot used to cook the spaghetti we saw earlier. Will the tomato sauce and meatballs make an appearance next? Read on.... 4.A Paint Can Ahh, Scout’s most dangerous stunt of all. Paint cans aren’t exactly light so we’re wondering whether or not it was empty before Scout attempted the balancing act. However, the lack of spilled paint and messiness along the edge of the can leads us to believe its a full can w

Hachiko - The True Story of a Loyal Dog

Image
Hachiko was a real dog, he belonged to a Tokyo University professor named Eisaburo Ueno in the 1920’s. Hachiko is remembered for his remarkable loyalty to his owner, even many years after his owner's death. In 1924, Hidesaburo Ueno, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo, took in Hachiko, a golden brown Akita, as a pet. During his owner's life, Hachiko greeted him at the end of each day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno did not return. The professor had suffered from a cerebral hemorrhage and died, never returning to the train station where Hachiko was waiting. Every day for the next nine years the dog waited at Shibuya station. Hachiko attracted the attention of other commuters. They brought Hachiko treats and food to nourish him during his wait. This continued for nine years with Hachiko appearing precisely when the train was due at the station until he died on March 8, 1935.

Meet Giant George - The World’s Tallest Dog

Image
After a publicity campaign started by his owner and a bunch of fans, George, a Great Dane from Tucson, Arizon received the rightful title of World’s Tallest Dog. After Gibson, a Great Dane from California and the previous holder of the Guinness World Record for tallest dog past away from bone cancer, George’s owner David Nasser tried to get his dog to be named successor. However, due to errors in paperwork and measurements, the title went to Titan, another Great Dane, from California. But David Nasser wouldn’t let his beloved pet be deprived of what was rightfully his, and together with Giant George’s fans started a publicity campaign. Their efforts paid off, and after careful measurements it was decided 43-inch-tall George was indeed the world’s tallest dog, and not 42.25-inch Titan. Giant George weighs 250 lbs, sleeps in his very own king-size bed and can barely fit in the back of his owner’s SUV. He even has his very own website and has become a certified celebrity. sourse
